Stumpers Hotel - Hokitika

The kitchenette area had decent amenities making it easy to prepare quick meals. Location right in the heart of town offered easy access to local attractions.

Doors to the rooms banged loudly when closed. Limited parking forced us to leave the car on the street, and the shower fluctuated between extremes of temperature. Windows placed high in the wall meant a lack of natural light and caused a foul smell from the restaurant's kitchen that lingered even with windows shut.

The location is cozy and super, 1 mile from Jackpot Golf Club. I liked my room - clean with comfortable bed.

Greatly enjoyed our a decent size rooms, plus the staff was affable. The room we had included central heating, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a refrigerator. The location was good in the beach area.

The kitchenette in the room was well-equipped and made meal prep easy .

Unfortunately, there was noticeable noise from the surrounding area that disrupted our sleep.

Functional freshly renovated rooms with the bedroom, very-very nice staff. Great to have an attached restaurant for dinner.

Wi-Fi signal was very weak.

Honestly nothing too much trouble. Bright and nice hotel located in a local area really close to the connected restaurant, and everything-able to walk to the beach. Compact & neat unit with clean bathroom. Very, very nice staff on reception and elsewhere.

Check-in was chaotic. Nobody was at the desk. The noise from outside was disturbing and made it difficult to sleep. It reminded me of the staff weren't attentive to guests needing assistance.

Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette, but the noise from the street disturbed our sleep. Enjoyed live music .

Checking in was chaotic with staff always busy at the bar, not focused on us. I expected a complimentary gesture for all the hassle, but instead, i got a room that was just like a closet, unacceptable! I almost thought it could've been better, but just couldn't!

Dinner was awesome with huge servings, way better than Auckland. Tui was a machine serving us well, and Hannah nailed customer service. The room was clean and cozy, and I loved having a kitchenette for meal prep.

I had a wonderfully comfortable stay at Stumpers Hotel. the room was absolutely spotless and extremely spacious, featuring a hair dryer, a walk-in shower, and fresh towels. the location is marvellous and cosy, and it's just a short 5-minute walk to the downtown area, where you can easily reach supermarkets and shops.

the quick check-in, the cozy setting, the friendly staff, the tasty meals, a real gem in Hokitika!

The comforts of the standard queen studio were fantastic! It had central heating, a tea and coffee maker, and a TV. Plus, the walk-in shower in the bathroom was a nice touch. ☕️.
